Child Safety Standard
We strive to ensure the physical and information security and well-being of our users to the maximum extent possible. As an app for a sense of belonging, skill sharing and development, we pay special attention to the safety of children. Find out below about the main provisions for child safety, methods for monitoring violations and measures taken against violators of the Child Safety Standard (Standard).
When using the HapiMeets application it is prohibited:
  • use materials containing scenes of sexual abuse of children. Includes still images, video and illustrated, computer-generated or other forms of realistic depictions, as well as live footage of a child in a sexually explicit context or performing sexually explicit acts;
  • use tactics to build trust and rapport with a child in order to gain access to that child for the purpose of sexual activity or exploitation. Includes attempts to prepare a child to have sexually explicit images taken and/or ultimately to meet someone in person for sexual purposes or to engage in sexual conversation online or to sell/share sexually explicit images of a child;
  • create or distribute content (including photographs, videos, real art, digital content and verbal images) that sexualizes real or non-real children;
  • use threats or blackmail against children to demand additional sexual content, sexual acts, or money from the child;
  • child abuse live. This includes creating real-time child sexual abuse content with the direct participation of adults who direct the child abuse while the acts are broadcast live to an audience, as well as forcing children to use a live streaming service to create child sexual abuse material;
  • use HapiMeets services for human trafficking, including child sex trafficking. It is prohibited to advertise, solicit or exploit children under 18 years of age through commercial sex acts. That is, any sexual act that involves something of value - such as money, food, drugs or a place to live.
Methods for tracking prohibited activities
  • To ensure the safety of the HapiMeets services, we use automated and manual methods to monitor the content posted by our users.
  • In the application, the functions of Complaint and Blocking for any third-party user are available for each user.
  • At any time, our user can directly send a message to support: from the HapiMeets application (Messages service), using the feedback form or email to support@hapimeets.com

If you discover user actions that violate this standard, we ask that you immediately notify us.
Measures taken against violators of the Standard
  • If a user attempts to add content that features an image of a child in a sexually explicit context or engaging in sexually explicit acts, the image will not be able to be published in the application due to manual moderation of each image added to the application gallery;
  • If such images are detected among already published content through manual or automatic verification, or incoming complaints and messages from other users, such content will be immediately deleted and will not be visible to all participants;
  • If necessary, we will also limit the visibility of user’s bio text that violates the provisions of the Standard and it will not be visible to all participants;
  • In the event of receiving information from the Support and Security Center and/or complaints regarding a user whose actions violate the Standard when communicating with other users, as well as during video chats with other users, that user’s account may be limited in activities or completely blocked from using the HapiMeets services.
